It was certainly a blatant cock up.

And yes, not killing anyone would've been a most sensible option. Strangely enough, it was Holly who started the vote spree at the end which led to the entire cluster[buck - ed] that killed her.

I wonder if anyone will night post this time. They should have noticed after yesterday that we are leaving the thread open.

Shame Holly doesn't have any SMSs left -- she could have had one last investigation.

Turns out we gave her her investigation anyway, as it's not like she's going to be telling anyone.
So, there goes the innocents biggest hope of getting out alive - I'd be interested to find out if Holly would have got them there.

If they'd gone for the non-violent route (and you let them) I'd say victory was pretty much certain, depending on the mindset of the midday killer.

Evening

No I didnt consider Grim... and the Doc would be characters.
The lack of posting really hurts the goodies as it always does , just 2 or 3 votes for a 'lynch' and all the "non playing characters" who havent bothered to post in days.
The blind stuff works really well , the SMS messages bit is a pain because you run out of space to explain whats going on.

Simon , you said virtually nothing for the last 2 days then lots of weird stuff now (voting at night?) that just looks very odd - FOS Simon

FFS - when will people learn that "bad guy" and "odd-acting" are very, very rarely synonymous?

Yeah but i already knew Simon was a bad guy i wanted to try and get someone (like Peter) to vote for him so i could join in rather than me pushing the way.

It's because no-one can spell your name.

I was much happier when my PM was from you cause i could reply and just type "Grim..." , if it was the other way round its open up another window to find you on the list and cut'n'paste (you need a button or a shorter nickname in the PM system Doc)

And yes i could have kept a lower profile but given that if we're losing 3 people a day there are only '2' days left before the goodies win condition is screwed i needed something to happen.

Did you have a list of people to investigate, or did you make it up as you went along?

Made it up as i went along , i did look back through the thread at the end of each day and had a short list , but went with one , and then did the same on the 2nd day.

After today i just picked one without reading back because i knew it was over.

Picking Simon on night 2 was more because of his odd single post the day before with the vote and the bit about animals , then i had thought his really odd posts this morning might have encouraged someone else to look at what he was doing

Did you ever consider picking the Administrator?
Also, did you realise you were Holly Willoughby? ;)

No , although i did find it odd that your votes were counted ... yesterday i think when there were two people on the same number of votes.

I think because of the SMS text limit it makes it hard to speculate about stuff , if that was not there then theres a lot more which could have been talked about.

One of your problems is that something like this which breaks everyone up so much can really only be done once (or at least once in a while)

Grim... wrote:

Nope , if I'd have realised that you wouldn't have gotten anything out of me at all - I'd have been too 'busy' (note to self - Grim...'s ideal birthday present would be Holly Willoughby dressed as a cop).

Personally I was thinking more Hatty Hayridge or Norman Lovett :-)

That's right. We unvoted again before the end, though.
Gaywood and I decided that if you investigated the administrator everyone would get rescued. There is only one other way (I think) for the town to insta-win. There is another character that can insta-win for themselves, though.

Post subject:  Re: "Wld u lk 2 ply a gme?" dead thread

I knew it was over so asked if I needed to wait to be added or if i could get an early pass :-)

Thoughts for what happens today ?

Numbers could be interesting out of 23 players there may be 4 helpers , 1 tinkerer so probably 18 'innocents' ?

My win condition (and I assume the other goodies) was that 1/2 the innocents made it out alive , as there are only 15 players left , and the tinkerer is going to get one that means there are 14 left with probably 3 bad /11 good.

So that would mean that the wrong choice today could end it all ? (2 innocents plus a tinkerer kill tomorrow would leave only 8 innocents)

If I didnt die last night i'd probably be role claiming right now in case i was picked out by the tinkerer and at least i could have given up the info that i had.

I've not been paying much attention, but:

1 - Rufus is obviously a bad guy
2 - Could the innocents win by mass voting for the Administrator?

Mr Chris (I think) tried that the first day, so I started opening the bottom of his cage.

Well, this is interesting.
It's against the Hackers's win condition (selfish innocent, get out alive at all costs), but, well, there's nothing we're going to do about that now.

It is odd , and i wonder if its more to do with the person playing the character, I wasnt given any restrictions on my character but in all the games i've played i've tended to do stuff 'for the greater good'

I was just thinking that - or putting a 'soon' time on it , some people get out , the baddies win because not 50% of the innocents got out alive.

I prefer not to police win conditions, I'd rather structure the game so people naturally follow them (I'm not a fan of scum games where win conditions can change for that reason). Here, I left them deliberately vague. It was up to people to choose what they meant, because that's the whole point of the Admin's game.

You had simon and holly in the lights with 2 votes, and Richard also on 2, simon was first so took precidence over Holly. A vote for Richard would've put him on three (lit), Simon on 2 (lit) and Holly on 2 (unlit)

Therefore 'safe'
