According to the comments it's affecting people with upgraded HDDs and I think some on here have mentioned having done that so they might want to try and avoid this update.

Well that's me boned. My PS3 updates automagically because PS+.

Today was the first time I'd get a chance to play TLoU as well.

Have you turned your PS3 on yet? I don't know how this works but can't you disable the automatic updates on the Playstation website?

Apparently PS+ only downloads it automatically, you still need to agree to the Ts&Cs to install the update.
