Hi,

Quick question about dynamic websites...

If there is a website where the URL stays the same, but the content changes minute by minute.

Is there a way (looking in my history specifically) that I can get on older version of a page?

Thanks

Malc

I would say no. The behaviour you're referring to are ajax commands, where content is dynamically loaded in to the page based on some kind of trigger so even if you can go back to that exact page, odds are the content you were looking at won't be there.

Unless you have a browser that really comprehensively caches content offline and you can view your history in 'offline mode'... but even then it would probably cache the first load of the given page, and if what you're looking for appeared on some subsequent dynamic load-in, it won't be there.

I forgot to mention it's firefox 29.0.1

Thanks EBG, I thought as much.

The reason I am asking is becuase I thought I had placed a bet on the netherlands, and the page seemed to think that I had, but when I decided to place a small bet on Spain (in case they came back from 2-1 haha!) I realised it hadn't

However, the page now shows the final result with my loss, and not the win that I mistakenly thought I was on for...

Ah well, I suppose it's swings and round-a-bouts from when I accidentally bet on the winning horse in the Grand National.
