I bought Torchlight 2 ages ago in a Steam sale, and never got round to playing it. For some reason I decided to fire it up on Saturday, and have been addicted all weekend!

Good loot, good characters, fun skills, fun levels, randomly created maps, but maps that stay once they are created and don't endlessly respawn all the fucking mobs all the time. It's everything Diablo 3 should have been.

Anybody else given it a go?

Not played 2 , but played and really enjoyed the first Torchlight on both Steam and Xbox

I've got it! Played it for a few hours, stopped. Knew I'd get full-blown addicted. I'm quite surprised, considering how much fun it is, and how many people own the first game, just how few of my Steam chums own Torchlight 2. It seems everyone owns the first game, but only you and I own the second!

But yeah, it's far more fun (in my view) than Diablo III.

I can see why you would think that. I never actually played the original, so it is all new to me :)

The original was a tad samey. This is, of course, more of the same, but, er, not as samey.
