Sounds good, albeit in a "not there yet" pre-order get-an-alpha kind of way.

It's like a mixture of Minecraft and Space Colony, with a dash of Dungeon Keeper.

Interesting, wonder how it'll hold up with 10xC comes out.

What do you love most? The dwarves of the fortress?

Leading goblins down a trap infested corridor and seeing their limbs fly off in different directions. I love building stupidly elaborate defences and watching hordes of enemies dash themselves upon them. I used to use Age of Empires 2 to do such things, but now Dwarfing Fortresses is my favourite.

Hmm - I thought Dwarf Fortress was all text based? Or are there mods? Or do the arms come off in ASCII?

Get this mod. It contains everything you'll ever need except for Dwarf Therapist. And yes, their arms do fly off in the text version. Damage is calculated incredibly detailyiediest down to dismemberment and decomposition.

The textual description in the log says everything, including that which the ascii or tilesets can't :)

This is up on Kickstarter now:

Three days left, and it's going to go down to the wire for getting it's funding.
A tenner gets you a preorder of the game.

Having read the description, I'm not sure what it's doing that Space Colony didn't already.
