I got 20 Graze boxes for Christmas, and I'm loving them.
Basically you go onto the Graze website and say "I like these" or "I don't like these" and every day of your choice (I chose Tuesday and Thursdays) they send you a little box with some healthy snacks in. You eat them, then tell them what you thought. They do some clever stuff with your answers and the next box is more tailored toward what you like.
Today I got some grapes, Japanese cracker mix and some hazelnuts.

It costs £2 a box, and it's worth a try at least, IMO.

If anyone wants some codes to try it out for £1, let me know.

So do you only get a box on Tuesday and Thursday or do they deliver 5 of them for the whole week on those days? I'm gonna give this a try but I think I want one every day...

Signed up for wednesdays. Code gives 1 box at £1 and 2 at £2.49 then it's up to £2.99.

If their product selection doesn't include bacon, donuts and ice cream then I'm not interested.

(Not that I'm actually allowed to eat any of that at the moment, except for a small amount of bacon now and again.)

You can have one every day but Monday (you could order it so it arrives on Saturday and then have it on Monday, I guess).

Man this looks great. I would love to do it, but I think sending fruit to my goods in at work is not a good idea. It took them 2 weeks to pass a parcel to me klast time I ordered something.

My first one came today. It was smaller than I thought, but also heavier, and the food was delicious. Combined with the pain au chocolat from M&S my boss bought for us, it replaced my lunch, rather than supplmented it.

That puts a different perspective on the £3-per-box price point. I suspect that if I had a couple of rounds of bread and butter from home I wouldn't need anything else to eat in the day.

I've signed up for a cheap box this Friday. I may well cancel after that, or just use the holiday thing a lot.

I changed from Friday to Thursday, just in case the post fucked up and my first box arrived today.

Looks good - grapes, "milkshake" mix and chilli cashews. I have to wait until lunch time to eat it, though. Gnng.

We have a similar scheme called Graze up in the North.

You send your empty Hovis bags to Farmer Cobbles and he posts you a sod.

Had my first box yesterday.

Chocolate covered raisins, nuts and dried banana

Nom nom. Would recommened.

These boxes sound tasty, but also very unhealthy (bar the grapes).

Whilst I love chocolate coated raisings, chilli puffs and nuts... I can only see myself expanding outwards and dying of a heart attack.

So I'm not sure on this as yet.

I also suspect I could buy a metric fuckton of grapes, chocolate and nuts at Tesco for far less than £2.99 a day and take them into work myself.

Sure. You'd be sick of them before you ate them all though, and they'd probably go off. Graze offer random variation and a freshness guarantee.

Nuts - little solid balls of fat. Healthy stuffs.

In total, my first box had 536 kcal, 19.3g fat (8.8 sat). I didn't eat the nuts though which probably helped a lot.

It's all very 'just get your arse down to tescos and save a bit more money' isn't it?

So you ate ²/₃rds of the box for £2.99. Bargain! I might get bored after a week of grapes, but then I can buy peaches for next week, etc.

Like I said, it's great for people without the time nor inclination to prepare their own food, but let's not try to pretend it's worth the cash. You're paying for the service (which admittedly, sounds good).

I could only see it as a waste of my money, though. I save so much cash from making my own sandwiches rather than eating in our canteen restaurant.

For one, I had my first box free. For two, the nuts were only 1/3rd of the mid-sized punnet in the box, not 1/3rd of the entire box. For three, I've now turned all the nut-containing dried fruit mixes off, and it's my own fault for not doing that in the first place. And for four, I gave them to a colleague anyway, so it's not like they were wasted.

Uhh, but that's my point, it possibly is worth the cash if you are willing to pay for the service. I don't think anyone was claiming it was worth it on pure £/food item terms alone.

Hmm. You'd probably save about £1, maybe £1.50. Let's call it £1.50.
Assuming it takes 30 minutes to go to Tesco, shop, and come back (and assuming you walk), you're valuing your free time at £3 an hour.

You're assuming I go to Tesco just to buy grapes and nuts, though. Which obviously, I don't.

It takes me two hours to drive to Tesco, shop and then drive home.

Hence getting all my groceries delivered.

Living in the countryside is ace, but not convenient.

Anyway, I doubt I'll get another Graze box. It doesn't really fit with my eating plan and is a bit too expensive for me. Fun to try, though.

@myp, ages ago: But you'd have to go every day. Even fucking going to Tesco isn't worth it as far as I'm concerned, I'd rather spend £3 to get it delivered and save the time and hassle of going myself.
Hell, I'm even considering paying someone else to do my online shopping for me - that's how precious my free time* is to me at the moment.

I am going to do a proper Graze review for my blog, and work out what the savings would be. Handidly, the nutrition information sheets allow you to work out the weight of each thing. In this one I have here, I had:

• 120g of mixed red/green grapes (approx Tesco cost, 53p)
• 65g of Johnny-come-lately, mixed dried apriocots, dried blackcurrents, and almonds (approx Tesco cost, here, 65p))
• 40g of white choc coated raisins (approx Tesco cost, 13p)

So that's about £1.31 to buy it from Tesco.

There's about 150 items on the Graze site, so a bit of forethought about what you ask for and you could cut most of it out. Dropping the nuts out helps a lot, and stuff like the chocolate covered raisins are a bit sugariffic too.

In addition to the point about buying grapes and expecting them to be edible 5 days later - if I buy stuff that far in advance, no matter my determination at the time, it will not get eaten. Moods and tastes are fickle things.

Whereas if I've paid £3 for a box which is right in front of me, damn straight I'm going to eat it all or die trying.

I won't be paying £3 for a few nuts and grapes though, because I'm a tight bastard. A large part of the reason I don't buy much fresh stuff is the knowledge some chunk of it will be going in the bin and not my belly.

It is if you only buy £5 of food.

All for healthy eating and that, and it sounds cute. But I can't really stomach the concept of sending out individual miniature food parcels through the post to office workers, every single day.
