Good afternoon, people of BeeX. MaliA here, trying to keep your attention for a few paragraphs until you all skip down to see who brung the awesome this week.
Little bit of housekeeping to begin with. Firstly,
Secret Santa, wonderfully organised by the Notorious JazzyT (Rap battler extraordinaire, she can throw rhymes down proverbially, massacring her opponent verbally, before leaving you stood dumfounded in death valley, making you believe you shoulda stayed at that pep rally. Word.).
I'm dearly looking forward to it, as last year, I got a most awesome Labyrinth game where you have to control a marble across a maze by tilting the board. Top stuff.
Craster (He started moving and lost the weight, now he makes the ladies eyes dilate, makes them awesome dinner and serves it on a plate, now he's looking for a running mate. Word.) is running a
#unread" class="postlink">Christmas mafia game, which we are all looking forward to.
Far Cry 3 has got a mixed reception, most DoccyG (In the kitchen, he's a wizard, he'll stuff his pork down your gizzard, your eyes drink so much it'll be like looking through a blizzard, the welsh, welsh, welsh food makes no one withered. Word.) and markG (He flew his quad copter, straight down to Happy shopper, paid of the staff with copper and made off with the goods proper, he's got a huge chopper. Word) loving it, AE (He gets the sweats when he lays his bets, but he's so sure, it's running at 60fps, making the bank look at the net, before leaving on a his jet. Word) not so much.
#unread" class="postlink">Zookeeper Battle has been recommended by Grim...(he's on the train commode, he's heading back to his abode, and he’s got the train sense to pay the few cents to head back to where he came from hence. Word).
So, this week, I thought I'd write first about my Kindle fire. I got it when it was on offer for £99. First impressions were "It's a bit heavy" and "Not as intuitive as the iPod Touch". However, installing Facebook and twitter was easy enough, as was iPlayer and IMDB. The web browser lets me look at the internet, and it's all pretty good. It’s fussy about how you charge it, in that it appears to only like its own USB cable charger, and not the one I use for my phone, but battery life is OK. The screen is bright and clear and iPlayer TV looks fine. I'm not sure how to load films on to it, or about getting my photos there either, but that is this weekend's project. Overall, I'm most happy with it, especially for under a ton.
Games I’ve been playing are Skyrim (finished the main quest, 113 hours). it was good, but with most games like this, it was more fun earlier on, as you get to a point where it is just whack a mole as you are so strong and well armoured it doesn't matter anymore what you are fighting, just advance the plot. I'd give it a 9/10. I've started Deus Ex: Human Revolution and it is brilliant. I love all the small details in it, like reading other people's emails, or the newspapers. It's lovely and Blade Runner-y and so far, super top fun.
Yorkshire to host the start of the Tour de France. Hell YEAH! Some other stuff happened in the news, too, but you are probably aware of that.
So, who has done what this week?
