This is apparently great - anyone picked it up yet?

I mean, I enjoy the Lego games anyway, but this one introduces some open world elements and is generally considered to be great all-round. Has done well in reviews and that.

Yep! Haven't started it yet though as we're halfway through Fable III.

Picked it up on Friday, and yes, it appears to be lovely and excellent (and funny, too).

My g/f adores the Lego games and is more a fan than me, but she reckons this is the bestest one yet.

Gave in. Had a 10% voucher for the excremental Zavvi, so ordered from there. Which minifig did you get MYOPTIKA? Mine has Lex Luther, apparently.

I got the Batman minifig when I pre-ordered the last Lego Batman. For a while I entertained the notion of having all the villains lined up on the top of my monitor, but the sheer cost of picking the now out of production figs up from eBay was astronomical.

I also got Lex - bought mine from Amazon which said "exclusive figure blah blah", but then I looked in Asda and theirs had the same one, so I suppose it's the same wherever you buy from.

Bought this from Morrisons tonight after both Asda and Tesco were sold out.

It seems great so far. Still haven't got rid of the stupid gameplay where you keep targeting your pal while beating stuff though.

I got stuck on one bit over the weekend, so in frustration started twatting Robin over the head. It unlocked a Cheevo for doing a combo. :D

You lot would love Lego Star Wars 3. There's loads of lego washing machines in it.

I'd also like to add that the Lex Luther minifig is unnecessarily complicated.

Only if you have spackhands - took me about a minute to assemble.

That's not my point. It's too fussy. Too many bits. I want just a clean minifig, but he's got a spacky bodyarmour and stupid huge gun. AND three random black foursers.

It's not fuzzy at all. I don't understand what you mean. Smooth.

Lovely and round and woody like Rock Band, not hard and square and jangly like Guitar Hero!

You can understand their problem... if he wasn't like that, you'd be able to get lots of 'Exclusive Lex Luthor' minifigs just buy buying normal LEGO boxes.

I wish Lego would catch on and sell a set of villain and hero minifigs ON THEIR OWN when these games are released. They'd make literally tens of pounds.

Superman controls like a fucking pig. I'm also not appreciating being paralysed for 5 seconds or more as the autosave kicks in after each gold brick.

You REALLY don't want to play co-op, then. It freezes for ten whole seconds every time you partner changes character. Plus ten seconds every time partner does anything!

What annoys me is that Superman's flight controls differ whether in a level or in hub world.

Yeah, that's what's griping my skiddoo about him. The level controls are fine if finicky, whereas the hub controls are appalling. Want to hover up to that gold brick? Tough! He's decided to swoop off and batter his face against a skyscraper.

Anyone else noticed that on the "Gotham City" massive level you get for collecting 175 gold bricks, you can jump into a wheelchair as Superman and pootle around?
