I've recently had a bathroom fan fitted and the power for it has been taken off the light and it has a seperate switch.. but something's not right.

When the fan, the bathroom light and the landing light are on.. and the fan is turned off, the landing light goes off too. Sometimes it just flickers but more often than not, it goes off completely.

The landing light is on a two way switch but it only happens when the downstairs is in the "on" position.

Can any of the electricians of the board shed some light on this? Why would this be happening? What on earth has gone wrong with it?

This I'm sure of but to be honest, he was a bit of a jobber and I don't fancy getting him in the house again. I know an electrician (who was busy at the time of fitting it) and I think I'll get him to look at it but I was curious to see if it was something simple? I guess not...
