I never use the Windows Boot camp partition on my MacBook Pro and was thinking about departitioning the HD last night. Only got as far as looking at the options in Disk Utility and couldn't see anything.

Anyone done this?

I've not done it on a Mac, but question one should be: "Do I need to do this?"
If you've got plenty of space left without messing around with partitions, then I'd leave it alone.

Disk Utility will do this. Backup first and run it from the Lion rescue environment.

I could tell you how to do it in Windows but not on Mac.

One way that will work would be back it all up , wipe and reinstall but as Grim... says unless you have to change things right now and its all working then i'd leave it alone.

Sorry, when I say "do this", I mean non-destructively. Delete the Windows partition then resize the Mac one. I've done this, and similar tasks, many times.

Thinking on, run the 'Bootcamp' tool. I think one of its first options is 'uninstall Windows'.

Grim, I need the space.

Doc, I've already wiped the windows partition and formatted it to Mac Journalled (the same as my main partition).

Everyone else, you PC using scummers.

That's right, ignore me...

Delete the windows partition completely and expand the main one.

That idea has me all abuzz.

It'd definitely mean we are a hive mind, though...

I hope our... colony... doesn't collapse. Err.
