You can use the cursor keys to move about, and shift + cursors to swing the torch around.

See how responsive it is, fiddle with the options (the door one won't make much difference), throw ten pillars in, and click / touch the canvas to add a beastie (which will run away from the light)?

What have you got, what are you browsing in, and how does it run?

On an iPad one it's pretty dire - adding colours pretty much stalls it.
On a HTC One X it's better but still pretty rough.
On my PC with Chrome it's fairly silky until you start adding loads of beasties, then it gets sad.

Runs pretty smooth. Beasties take a second or two to appear. Light sources move fine until the colours are turned on, then they're a little bit jerky. More beasties and more pillars means a bit slower, certainly. Not too bad though.

Chrome on Win7 x64

Shadows aren't quite right, they run from the centre of an object, not the corner; most noticeable on large pillars with the light source close to.

two(maybe 3) beasties (door open, nothing else) made it really laggy.

Chrome on win7.

Firefox, win7 64, i5 4Gb ram, Intel Gfx. Not remotely smooth. Less than 1fps.

yeah, the maths on that made my brain hurt. It's why they're all square, too.

What about Safari on a recent Mac? That's the only one that's really hard for me to test.

Chrome on Win7x64. I3 processor, 4gb ram. It works great with everthing on and only starts to chug with multiple beasties.

I'll try on an XP laptop if you like.

2.4GHz i5 MacBook Pro, 8GB RAM, Chrome, Snow Leopard: Runs pretty fine with 20 pillars, 10 beasties, open door, two coloured lights. A little slow when the light rotates, but actually runs better than my Retina one did last night.

2.66 i7 Macbook Pro, Lion, 4Gb, gets a bit choppy with three beasties and second light and door open in Safari. Slightly better in Chrome.

Yeah, Firefox just can't do it, it seems. I've traced the bottleneck to the part of the engine that calculates where the point on screen is that the ray of light from the light source should stop at.

So, er, that's fairly important, and I can't make it go any faster. No Firefox support until they sort the Canvas stuff out, then.

What about iPhones, iPhone users?

Move, schmove. Just fire off the beasties and see how well they run.

Beasties and pillars did nothing on mobile IE9.

Nice and smooth until you add the coloured lighting. Adding the second light doesn't seem to be a problem. Starts to judder once you add a lot of beasties and pillars though.
