Seeing a bit of talk of Destiny about the other threads...

I'm someone who hasn't played a competitive multiplayer shooter in their life (unless you count the bots in Unreal Tournament).

But lately I've been shunning games with stories and unpredictable mission time-sinks (eg Far Cry 3, GTA V) in favour of PES and Super Meat Boy, which are good for picking up for 30 minutes before bed. Might Destiny fit that use-case or does it require more structured commitment?

And what do YOU like to play before bed, dressing-gown loosened, slippers on, cocoa in hand?

My "quick blast" game of the moment is Super Time Force. It was free on PSN a few months back and it's surprisingly clever if you set yourself some challenges.

I prefer quick blast games as my time is limited these days. I'm not sure whether I would say Destiny fits that bill though...

As for mine, at the moment it's Crazy Taxi but Final Fight is sneaking up on it.

Competitive matches don't last too long, the cooperative stuff can last much longer.

I'm not overly sure I'd recommend it for the competitive stuff. Although my tastes for competitive multiplayer aren't exactly mainstream, as it were.

I like a bit of BLOPS 3 before bed but it can get a bit one-more-ish.

Does it have competitive multiplayer?

My bedtime routine is watching a Trump Hearthstone video on YouTube, and maybe half an hour of playing fruit machine emulators.

(Actually playing Hearthstone before bed is too exciting as it tends to get the adrenaline going, which is not conducive to sleep, especially in the case of a horrible loss, when you replay the game in your head trying to understand what you did wrong.)

Mine's your mum. Etc.

Quick blast at the most is battlefront, but previously was JC2 or BF3

There's a sequel to John Coffey?

John Coffey 2: The Tram Strikes Back

NOT THAT KIND OF TRUMP.

It is a crappy name though. It was bad enough before as it's like a British word for pump, and now he's sharing the name with that bewigged fucking racist psychotic misogynist fucking bigoted arsehole too. (I realise Donald Trump was a thing before Jeffrey Shih became a world-famous Hearthstone player, but before Psycho Trump decided to have a punt at the US presidency most people had sort of forgotten about him so Jeffrey could legitimately take over the moniker.)

I would genuinely prefer to see Jeffrey Shih become US president ahead of Donald Fucking Trump. There'd be a lot less war (and racism), and all conflicts could be settled via the medium of gentlemanly card-based non-lethal combat.
