Challenge TV, Monday 14th May, 8pm.

20 years after it finished, Blockbusters is back, hosted by Simon Mayo, and they have kept it pretty much the same. Same prize money, same music (though very slightly jazzed up it seems to my ears), same format, but no students anymore :(

If there is no hand-dancing, I will be disappointed.

Saw about ten seconds of this this morning.... Right up until "I'll have a hitch please Simon".

Never heard that from the sixth formers on proper Blockbusters back in the day.

An old housemate of mine once bought the full Blockbusters theme tune on vinyl from a second hand shop. The full song lasts over five minutes. Funny, but amazingly tedious.

He once played it when he was DJing in an indie club. It went down... interestingly.

On a similar note, I'd like to know when Noel Edmonds first used the words "Pilgrims" and "Dream Factory" on Deal or No Deal. Then travel back in time and kill him the day beforehand.
