So I need to buy someone a £15 to £25 bottle of Whiskey.

I know nothing of whiskey.

What should I buy? I don't want to get the whiskey equivalent of blossom hill...

Thanks!

Are you planing on drinking it with them? If so do you like Smoky, Peaty or Sweet as most whiskeys fall into those groups.

Malts.com is quite a good reference guide for whiskeys, but if your just looking for a good Whiskey as a gift i don't think you can go wrong with a bottle of Singleton

Which you can get for under £25

Laphroiag is good and relatively inexpensive. I tend to always have a bottle in. :)

Somewhat related, Isle of Jura "Pretentious Name" (Superstition) is only £23 at Asda at the mo. £23.99 at Tesco too.

I think Asda have a good offer on Laphroiag just now, I might treat myself on payday. The Laphroiag quarter cask is delicious. My favourites are Talisker, Caol Isla, Lagavulin and Johnny Walker Green Label. You and Ange should come visit again sometime soon Myp, we can drink whisky it would be great :)

I really wish my body wouldn't react in the "ARGH! POISON!" way it does since The Halo Incident.
