They started filming this in Blaenavon when I was working there last spring. All over the town it was, one of my clients opened a shop by the place they're using for the doctor's surgery.

Synopsis: Indian Doctor Sanjeev Bhaskar and his hoity-toity but fuckable wife* rock up in Blaenavon in 1963, with predictable results. Essentially BBC period Northern Exposure for the early afternoon slot.

It's nice though, I've watched half the first one and felt compelled to chuck it on here on that basis alone. Perhaps I like it because it's my old manor but the stereotypes are, as is often the case with South Wales drama, all exactly like people I actually know. Leek-bothering Bezzies may concur.

*Queen Jamilia from Phantom Menace, was in that Ood episode of Who and Corrie as well. Cracking rack.

I downloaded all 2 seasons of this after reading your post. I was a bit worried it would be Heartbeat with Indians, but it’s quite good to be fair.
