Just got an email about this thing:

http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/shadow/

Set it up and it seems to work quite well.

Is that like developing on a web server, and connecting to the web server through Safari on the iOS device, and refreshing every time you want to see changes?

No, it refreshes on the mobile client as you browse around on your desktop, or when you make changes on the server, from what I can understand.

[edit]No, it's all driven from the desktop Chrome browser - you can change the DOM and it will update on the mobile clients. Pretty neat.

Yeah, it's a little like having Firebug but for mobile devices.

Yeah, that's pretty swish then.

Just installed the program, the app, Chrome extension and Bonjour. Shadow itself won't run though and looking at the known issues page, it says that XP isn't supported. Oh well.. might give it a try at home instead.

You need to show it to your bosses and explain to them why it means that you must have your own iPad for testing. Retina display essential, obviously.

Wheels are already in motion mate. I've actually been working on optimising stuff for iOS devices this week and made a point about it.

Request email sent, let's see! :)
