Check out these indigenous dudes! Their peaceful, cultured way of life must be preserved at all cost - just look!!! :

And they are so appreciative of each others' creativity,

accepting of those who are "different"

and revel in the celebration of harmonious unity.. man.

This is some sort of.. administrative in-joke?

Recently they have been discussing their unique food source of pancakes and raspberry pie, found only in these woodlands; debating the finer points of the dialect; and building these weird totem-pole things, it's totally far-out!

Really, they're cool. They gave me lots of examples... So I'm just going to tie myself to this tree here and.. no, wait.. noooooo!

For what it's worth I still have 42 unread messages as I didn't really bother opening the automatically generated ones, because it's a whole extra click to see what was nommed and it's somewhat impersonal - there's no note to say why or what was appreciated, and it's too easy to do. Smash the system!

So I could've been nominated and I'll never know?

Don't answer either way.
