As you may well be aware, Mrs T is setting up her own cupcake business (Is she really? Gosh? Maybe you should have mentioned it, Trooper? :DD) I promise I will stop banging on about this soon, or at the very least keep it to this thread only :D

I have been happily bumbling around taking photos and creating a website of some kind, but what I don't have is a nice stylised cupcake image to use as a logo.
Any chance any of the more arty types here knocking me something up? Something like this http://www.acclaimimages.com/_gallery/_ ... -1125.html in fact.
Happy to pay some cash, or link you on the website, or whatever in return :) I just need something uber simple and stylish that I can play around with, change colours, put writing on if I want etc... I tried to do it myself and the results were not impressive, to say the least.

A thousand thanks in advance if anyone can do anything :)

p.s. http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Cupca ... 8220649390 "likes" would be appreciated if people want to help with the pimpage ;)

I agree. But watch out for any bumming clauses in the payment agreement.

Considered opinion: Perhaps not a brown, curly topping though.

A solid colour would mean that I could replace with any colour I liked, as needed :)

I'm not convinced it would unless you're talking about an 8-bit GIF with no antialiasing or anything. Which is possibly not the best thing to use. Also, you'd offend the artist by adjusting their work afterwards ;)

You should look at resizing/compressing those images, even if it's just a temporary site.

Looks good!
One small point: the images on the menu page are a zillion pixels large, and scaled by the HTML, which makes them quite slow to load. When you're happy with the layout, resize them in your image program to the actual wanted size. You probably know that but some people don't.

edit: drat you, devilman.

Heh, that's actually quite reasonable for the market. Sure you can get cheaper, but they will most likely be crap. If you want them for weddings, then a lot of cupcake places charge £5 a go!

Instead of a wedding cake, the wife made a hundred and something cupcakes in our tiny kitchen. They were well lush.

As were the professional ones we had from some place in Vegas at the other half of the wedding.

Cupcakes are acebest.

It was actually a self selecting tool, slow broadbad = too poor for the cupcakes... :D

I would have changed it by now, if my bloody hosting site hadn't totally screwed up. On the plus point, im in live chat with them at the moment and they can see the same problem I currently have, so hopefully it will be fixed soon and I'll get access back again!

I know you're going for a 'strawberries and cream' type theme, but I hate that pink writing.

Indeed. The cupcake world is a collection business in the main. Sending them in the post isn't an option for obvious reasons, so it's hand delivered or collected.
