I saw this picture yesterday and have been thinking about it since.

It must be agonising enough to have a child with problems but how would you cope with this? Which mouth do you feed? Can each head think independently? Who controls the arms/legs? So many questions...

Isn't it though? Given that they can't separate the two individuals, and assumign it survives that long, it will be the focus of much scientific attention in years to come.

There was something on the radio the other day about some conjoined twins who shared a bit of brain, and how they could tell what the other one was thinking. Really odd stuff.

I haven't watched tellynews or read wordynews for a while so this is new to me.

I'll have to go back and watch this (and read about the baby) when I'm not at work. I'm now wondering about a lot of things too.... How about control for the legs? And breathing? bowel and bladder control? If one head dies can the other survive?

I really know next to nothing about conjoined twins.
