I need to find some awesome presents for my mister for
a. Sinterklaas (dec 5th saint nickolas' birthday, he brings prezzies to people in NL)
b. Christmas (dec 25th jesus' birthday, Jolly man brings prezzies to loads of people)
c. Birthday (jan 20th steves actual birthday, people bring him prezzies)

So my mild mannerd british husband plays lots of games on his PC but is also cheap. He gets games that are old for 3 pounds on Steam and is chuffed to bits. As an example of what he likes he has been playing Borderlands (?) for ages and he also really enjoyed Warhammer, the Batman game and Portal. Now I know these last two have a new one out which he would consider way to expensive but could be great for a good present. He would however enjoy it more if I would be able to find games that are cheap and good. He buys most of his games on Steam so I could probably find out if he has a game without asking him.
Apart from his PC we also have a Wii we haven't been playing much on. He loved the Zelda game but that was ages ago. He's got a sword game on the go but can't get past mama san so that's been gathering dust, similar for Bioshock (??) with a robot thingy that can be a ball to run through mazes.

Apart from the games he's a proud geek so I've also gotten loads of great stuff from Thinkgeek in the past, but I'm a bit done with the shipping cost plus been hit with import tax a few times.

Does anyone have any ideas? I've also been keeping an eye on the Bargains thread.
Are there other people looking for the perfect gift for someone? maybe I can help

Portal 2 is going on for a year old -- you might be able to find a bargain on that now. It's also incredibly good.

Isn't there a new Zelda Wii game out now/soon/sometime?

So he bought Portal 2 in the Steam sale and I bought him the new Zelda game for the Wii for Sinterklaas which he's quite happy with

Christmas is pretty much a bust as I'm still stuck at home with a busted leg from the car crash, waiting for an op hopefully before the end of the year, but that still leaves his birthday.

So I know he would like the Arkham City thing but I've been contemplating going over the top and getting him an xbox
given that we've got a wii and he happily plays games on his pc and we only have one (lovely) tv in the house
do you think this is a good idea/worth the money?

Then get him to sign up here and play with us. It will change his life forever once he's heard one of Zardoz's legendary stories.
