leaked preview, looks pretty stunning.

However, it may be a bit Jack-of-all-trades, not sure the kinect is going to work...? If I look into the corner, I am no longer looking at the TV.

I'd read it uses Kinect to track your head, so you can look around in-game. That could work really well I think.

Yeah, that is what I thought, (I haven't used a Kinect) but it will surely either mean that I have to look away from the screen to look out of the side of the car, or it is sensitive enough so that when I move my head a little, the ingame view moves at a greater rate, meaning an movement of my head is going to send the screen bobbing all over the place?

I have had a go on the demo. I am not impressed.

I remember when I tried the Forza 3 demo and was instantly pulled in and knew that I just had to get that game. The Forza 4 demo is having exactly the opposite effect on me.

First, the AI is terrible. The other cars always seem to swerve in front of you while going way too slow at exactly the worst moments. Secondly, the handling is off somehow. I don't know if Forza 3's handling is realistic, but at least it gives you a sublime feel for the car and you never feel that you have anyone to blame but yourself. The handling in the Forza 4 demo just seems to send you into the barriers constantly, although that may be partially caused by the last point: They have now chosen a much wider lens camera for all the in car views. While this arcadey view makes everything zoom by much faster it also makes judging upcoming turns damn near impossible, meaning you have to play the game purely by memory. This is a game killer for me.

Just to be sure I wasn't going mad, I popped in Forza 3 to test against it. Instant fun!

So I feel absolutely no need to go out and get 4, which is a big relief in a way. It's no fun buying all that DLC just to have it all obsoleted after just a couple of years.

What would happen if you leaned a bit as you cornered to counter the non-existant forces?

I barely touched Forzas one through three. They're well-made games, but dull as fuck. Soulless, if you will. Pass.

At least they didn't call it 4za.

Played the demo last night. It looks very pretty. Plays just the same as 3 to me.

If I see a cheap copy down the line and there are Bezzie nights I'll probably grab it.

I think the problem is that they feature cars and endless driving thereof. Is 4za taking a different tack or are the cars still fairly central to it all?
