I know there's a separate iPhone/Touch/etc thread for games, but this is such awesome news it deserves its own thread - the mighty ZK is now out for the iPhone/Touch/etc.

There are not enough :luv: for how much I adore this game.

Anyway, not all the modes are available from the start apparently, but whatever, it's ZK, it's two quid (or whatever - less I think), so I'm sold.

Fewer reasons.

I don't reckon this would be responsive enough on an old 3G though. Especially in crucial timed mode.

As of right now, the glorious Time Attack mode is not there and only a couple of the other modes are, but the missing ones are all to follow soon I would think.

Just had a quick go on it and it plays wonderfully. Also because of the touch screen being, as you'd expect, quicker and smoother than the stylus and that on the DS, I've found you can quickly make another line of animals while the previous line is still falling, which I never could on the DS.

One fewer reasons? Does not compute!

Aye, bought it whilst on sale (£1.19) and now it will sit unplayed whilst I hope for the TimeAttack mode to be added.

And when it does.... weeks will be lost.... again.

I expect I'd probably be quicker with a stylus than on a phone's touch screen, but I'm a fat-fingered clot. Moot point anyway - as much as I love Zoo Keeper, I won't be buying an iThingy to play it on. I should just replace my DS version really.

It was an deliberately incorrect joke, after you said about making things into 'fewer' by pluralising them. Wish I hadn't bothered now.

Was it back on WoS that we had high score comparisons for ZK? After JBR kindly sent me his copy, I sank a bit of time into it again yesterday but can't remember what a half-decent time attack score is.

Zoo Keeper is as addictive as all hell but ultimately it's like pecking for peanuts, high scores seem to be mostly a matter of luck. They seem to occur at random intervals having more or less fuck all to do with how good you've got at the game.

Oh, you've made me remember the Quest mode, where you could sometimes get 20 multipliers in a row, and most other times the zoo keeper would screw you over with a shitty level.

This wasn't a specific ZK thread but it was discussed over quite a few posts anyway (the high scores, I mean), which is something to go on.

I'm enjoying ZK on the Touch, but really it badly needs Time Attack added.

Permission to ask a couple of stupid questions?

OK, thanks - are there a lot of decent high-score games these days that support Game Center / Open Feint? There hasn't been much high-score action lately on the 360, and I think I want in...

I spent a stupid amount of time on Zookeeper on the DS and loved it, so I'm hoping they include the Time Attack mode in a future update of the iOS version. The incredible thing for me is, you get used to the amazingly cheap pricing policy so quickly on the ipodpadphone that I actually found myself hesitating to pay €1,59 for Zookeeper whereas I didn't think twice about paying €30 for the DS version.

Turns out it was only one stupid question after all, and probably in the wrong thread as usual, but I did definitely mention Zookeeper.

Blimey, just tried signing up for Game Center, it does seem to want an awful amount of information - thought it would have been easier than that. Also, I don't get the bit where it says "this will be your new Apple ID". The ipad is registered to my wife and I'm not sure I want to bugger it up just for a few games.
