Merry Christmas you slaaaaags ;-)

Joking aside, I hope you all have the good fortune of fine wine, good dining and pleasant company and more than that, the presence of mind to enjoy whatever you have.

Merry christmas!

Oh, and if you read bits and bobs, you may remember the treasure chest advent calendar I hand crafted for Mrs T? Well in the bottom in a secret compartment was this:

So Mrs T will be Mrs T officially at some point in the future :D

I got socks. In fairness, had I actually asked for anything I'd have probably gotten it. Trouble is there's nothing I materially want. Socks are handy though.

Nadolig llawen, everyone! Congrats, Trooper!

Sat in the departure lounge at Heathrow. There's about 40 people here waiting for an enormous 777. Just heard a clerk say "most of the flight is already here". Winner!

Christmas Day is the best day to get up at 12 having had a 10 hour kip featuring a nightmare about headcrabs, then watch 34th St over a bacon sandwich, have a spliff and watch High Society whilst drinking gin and juice.

So. Full.

3 hours in the kitchen. Worth it. I'm not cleaning up though, fuck that.

Youngest boy has got the most amazing present of the day, a Lego game called Creationary, you build the picture on the cards and your team has to guess what you build. Amazing! He's sorting the bricks now so we can play :DD

Just got back from a Christmas meal with my parents. Turns out that my brother and I managed to pick get them the same Christmas card - maybe we're not that different after all. Either that or he chose the first half-decent looking one in the shop, like I did.

Odder than that was the story of their friend's Christmas. He'd invited his daughter over for Christmas and during the evening, she heard some noises coming from upstairs (he's deaf, so was unaware of anything) so they went to investigate. They found that a music box which hadn't been wound up was now playing music. There's probably a good explanation for it (damned if I know what it is, mind you), but their explanation - he lost his wife a few months ago and it was some kind of sign from her - gets no argument from me. Skeptic I may be, but if it gives them comfort, who am I to argue. :)

Pretty crap sign if her hubby was deaf! ;)
Nice thought none the less though, and as you say, even if there is a scientific explanation, they don't need to hear it today :)

Thanks for the well wishes people, been a pretty top day all in all so far :D

Just come back from Mrs Meaty's family in Long Ashton near Brizzle. It is absolutely miserable and horrible and cold and wet out there and I'm glad to be home.
