You're at work, browsing in sekrit mode, reading BeeX (or anything - this isn't a complaint about the site). You're in a topic and have a mind to reply - but wait! - not logged in :(

Scroll upwards, click thing, enter details - takes you to a screen saying you've logged in, then to the frontpage of the whole forum, which NO ONE EVER GOES TO, EVAR!

I'll never understand why, and I'll never understand why logging in to anywhere at all takes you to a page saying you've done it. Logging in is something we do in order to see or do something we previously couldn't, so logging in should return us to where we were before, and we'll know we were logged in because we'll be able to see or do whatever we could not.

It makes me feel sad :(

If you hit 'Post Reply', then you get the login prompt, and when you've put your details in it takes you straight to the 'post reply' page.

I have this problem at work (I've tried the various mirrory things the help suggests). I've always assumed it's due to crap work network and that I should probably doing work at work, anyway.

A bit messy, but if you go back to the page you were on (where you tried to login from), then hit refresh, you'll be back where you were and logged in.

Using Chrome on sekrit mode, I tend to be logged out between page views for some reason.

Hmm - it should remember cookies for that session, so if you don't close it, it should be fine.

Also - what Craster says is completely correct. Click reply, it'll challenge you, and then you'll get right to the reply screen. No drama.
