You'll not be stressing it to the point that you'll notice a difference.

is this for learning, or for home use? There's not a huge advantage in a server os in a home environment. My home server is just running vista 64

So. I've acquired Server 2008.

Should I give it a bash, y'reckon? I could have my own domain!

Is there anything you particularly want to do with it?

Building a 2K8 domain is certainly less difficult than constructing quotes on a forum :p

So... server 2008. I'm going to do this. With the uni moving to Active Directory, I feel it's time.

Erk.

Interesting price cut on WHS11 -- it's £43 now.

My MediaSmart would run WHS11, although I'd lose the ability to do dynamic disk pools in the process without (as far as I can tell) gaining much of interest.
