Bloody hell, one of the first albums I ever bought on cassette! Bought the vinyl years after, and was gutted when some of the tracks were cut!

Ancient, Canterbury scene, hippy-trippy, prog rock nonsense. For some reason I missed out on these guys in the 70s, which is a pity on one hand, but it's nice to discover some old prog rock that is new to me. These guys were good musically, but the lyrics are often odd, to say the least. In this one, the singer is saying that the life of a rock musician is not as groovy the audience might think. Try to stick with it until 5.25, when it all goes a bit freaky.

Hatfield and the North - Fitter stoke Has A Bath

You can see them doing it live here, if the fancy takes you, but the sound's a bit crackly in the quiet bits.
