Be Excellent To Each Other

Has anyone given this a bash? It's on the Steam Store currently. How is it free? Is there an option to "upgrade" or micro-transactions, or is it supported by ads or something? Is it good?

Think I'm gonna give it a download tonight.

(It's a superhero MMORPG from the people who made City of Heroes/Villains and Star Trek Online.)

I was part of the closed beta for it a couple of years ago...not impressed, it seemed to be a step back from City of Heroes (which was sublime). The character generator should be released as a stand alone app as it is brilliant.

See, it's the creation of a character that is most appealing to me! I might just make a character and run around for a bit.

Well for free, you really can't argue...honestly you'll spend a lot more time mucking about with the creation app rather than the game itself.
