What's the best torrent tracker for recent TV shows these days?

We'll be missing out on a lot of things while we are away, and i doubt iplayer will work, so downloading seems to be the best way forward - i generally favour torrenting but am open to all suggestions, thanks.

eztv, the box, uknova and there are other erm options besides torrenting.

uknova is simple and fast though. sometimes i just go over a vpn and use the bbc iplayer though.

EZTV seems to be the best out there at the moment - if its having problems you can use bt-chat which carries EZTV torrents plus others

http://www.bt-chat.com/browse.php?category=9

Other UK ones are UKnova and Thebox (as previously mentioned) and if your looking for older stuff then somewhere like Demonoid is good for picking up odd episodes or complete series.

Where are you going to? Aus? If so, don't they have Draconian laws when it comes to torrent downloads?

Yes, Australia. This is to be my next line of enquiry - I have a feeling they might. I have been meaning to ask an Australian guy on another forum I frequent about it.

Although, we'll be in a small town so I don't know if the internet access will be all that hot.

Question. I need to locate the Cornwall episode of 1980's TV show, The Interceptor. Anyone able to point me in the right direction as I can't find my VHS copy and have no idea where to look these days.

Cheers.

However it does say this is the first (only?) rerun from Challenge tv and that they may have been edited (although the seeder doesnt seem to think so)

The best way of downloading TV is via usenet, but if it isn't going to be a long term thing, then it is a fair amount of hassle to setup...

404 not found.

It's the Christmas edition which usually has the Christmas greeting at the end edited out.

You can't really edit Interceptor given the show has a clock running most of the time. And any editing of Annabel Crofts intro can only be a good thing.

Okay - try going to thebox.bz creating an account and searching for interceptor - the torrent is there and has all 8 episodes - I think you may be right about the christmas message being edited out (I cant check just now as i'm at work but could have another look tonight)

Link works fine for me - but it might rely on you being logged in - just go to the main page and sign up - they have quite a strict limit however you should be able to download the whole set before they flag you up as not making quota

The description

Quote:
Interceptor - Complete Season 1 - (1989) [ TVRip (XVID) ]

In the summer of 1989, a new TV show was born. It starred actor and stuntman Sean O'Kane as the Interceptor and Britain's former top tennis player Annabel Croft as the presenter.

Interceptor was an adventure game show with a difference - it had the look and the pace of a drama, it was shot entirely on location and unlike any other show, it featured a villain - the Interceptor, in the central role.

The format of the show was a highly sophisticated version of the children's old favourite game of hide and seek; two contestants, a male and a female, working as a team attempt to survive and outmanoeuvre their enemy - the Interceptor.

The contestants were blindfolded at the start of each show and dropped by helicopter a few miles apart in an unfamiliar location. Each carried a locked backpack with five sensors on the face of the case. If The Interceptor was accurate with his laser projector, and he hit one of the five sensors, the lock of the pack would automatically jam, preventing the contestant from opening it with the key. Only one pack held the prize of 1000 pounds - (in five pound notes!). Neither contestant knew their start location or whether their backpack contained the prize. The backpack keys were hidden in secret locations and each contestant had to complete a challenge to obtain the key to their partners backpack.

check out http://interceptors-lair.com for more info.

All 8 episodes include:

1) Kent - (Horseback & orchard encounter)
2) Norfolk - (Police boat encounter)
3) Wye Valley - (Inty in his Maserati drives crazy towards the bridge)
4) Cumbria - (Railway ambush)
5) Derbyshire - (Tractor ambush)
6) Borders - (Quarry encounter)
7) Cotswolds - (Fire Truck & motorbike)
8) Cornwall - (Mini hovercraft & rescue helicopter) - Christmas Special!

Fast paced action, hilarious lines with helicopter pilot Mikie and the Interceptor with some of the best TV you'll ever see! Especially the legendary 'Tractor Ambush'. They don't make shows like they used to, and here's an fine example!

The episodes here are taken from the Challenge TV (1st time round) - all complete except for the Christmas message at the end of episode 8 of Cornwall. Some people say that these are cut to fit onto Challenge - I say that they are uncut - except for the Xmas message. Well folks this could be your only chance to get Interceptor, as it's unlikely they will repeat on Challenge

I wonder if someone like UKTV could set up a subscription tracker for old shows that they have no intention of repeating. I reckon people would pay £10 a year for the chance to download some classics.
