OSX Mountain Lion has been announced, lots of blah blah waffle boring, but a couple of things of interest.
Gamecentre will work on OSX as well as iOS in the future, and iMessaging is coming to OSX, which will be nice (apparently available as a downloadable beta now?)

Messages beta is here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/mountain-li ... ages-beta/

Trying to update to 10.8.4. It says in order to update it needs to reboot, as normal, but when it reboots it's just sat there in the App Store update section. Rinse and repeat.

Any way of forcing it or deleting the alert so it can redownload it or something? I'm still an OS X noob.

Mostly nooby myself, but have you tried force quitting the App Store so it's forced to recheck when it goes back?

Also check the reviews/comments to see if anyone else is affected.

Good idea. I'll give it a try next time I'm booted into OS X.

Nope, didn't work for me. I found out how to hide the update though. Maybe it'll work next time...
