I was on PAYG for years nirej, but I'm pretty sure a £10 a month contract is working out far cheaper - PAYG is fine in theory but tends to scalp you if you accidentally run out of "free" internet or whatever, or have to make a phonecall to a number it doesn't consider cheap - even calling customer services costs you. Plus, arsing about topping it up when you do run out, or being without internet for days at a time because of whatever.
It's only a "30 day" contract too so no big drama if I want to change.
Consider it, anyway.
Also: just learn a new keyboard, either touch or qwerty, everyone thinks it's "fiddly" the first time, but you soon get good at it.
Typing on a numpad is seriously 90s and very limiting.
The QWERTY keyboard seems to be a two hand job and I often need to type with one (fnarrr - Inuendo Ed) so using just my thumb on one hand is really useful. And I'm pretty fast with it. GiffGaff offers 200mins of calls and unlimited internet usage for a month for £10. Then at the end of the month you're left with £10 if you've not used all that up then it's 8p a minute calls and 20p a MB interwebnets. I see this costing me no more than £7.50 a month which is about what I'm paying for my current PAYG system on O2.
@LewieP How much?
