Hi Guys,

New topic for all things Geek and in requirement of help.

I'm using XSL to convert XML into a HTML form. All going well until I run into a problem with XSL not being able to support the scientific notation coming from SQL servers directly into the XML.

XML has "0.12121212E-2" or something like that I want to display it as 0.0012121212... perhaps rounded to some degree. Either way I don't want to display "NaN", which currently gets displayed while trying to format the numbers.

Only solution I can find is to change how the SQL server output values from a double to a decimal but I'm not allowed to do that. Ideally every thing needs to be done via the XSL.

Has anyone had to solve this problem before? Any solutions?

First page of Google results for "xsl convert scientific notation" seems to contain a ton of stuff.

All need XSLT 2.0 or additional files. I give up.

A nice top command on my server shows that it's running a tonne of apache processes (load of 16.22, cringe fans). Is there any way I can get a more specific idea of what they are - ie. what web address they are looking for?
