Which is good.

Quote:
It includes a 10% rise over two years, a £500 lump sum for those working on projects linked to next year's Olympics and an agreement which unions said means that no-one can be dismissed during the Games.

Apart from the rather "interesting" decision to give everyone £500, I'm rather taken aback by the fact that "no-one can be dismissed during the Games". Er... What?
Time for a thieving spree, then?

A bit further down Bob Crow says
Cunt wrote:
This is a groundbreaking offer that gives Network Rail staff more than 10% on the basic between now and next year

Which is a bit at odds with the first bit of the article.

So they pretty much don't have to bother turning up for work during the Games?

So basically they can do whatever the fuck they like when the games are on, and can't be dismissed due to their actions.
And they have a 10% pay rise.
And £500 lump sum.

Those poor put upon tube workers, earning their paltry £40k a year for pushing a lever 35 hours a week, I really feel for them...

I'm reminded of the story Greg Dyke tells of the weak ITV management in the 1970's. As a union rep he found himself in front of the management at LWT who were so desperate to get the staff back to work they were agreeing to everything. For a laugh he threw in a demand for a colour for TV for every member of staff which the management promptly agreed to.

The management are desperate for the olympics not to be screwed up so Crow has been able to name his price.
