Every xmas I head home and drag my Wii with me. To play Super Mario Galaxy. The most christmassy of games.

Image

Freezing outside, fire roaring, beer or wine by your side, passing a controller back and forth around the family, or having a nice few hours free after everyone else is asleep to sink into a spectacular game.

Recommend the games to your fellow Beexers that you believe would best suit a xmas play through this holiday season.

Here are mine:

1) Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 The most christmassy game of all time. I mean just look at it:

More imagination crammed into one level than most games have in their entirety.

2) NSMB DS/Wii See above.

3) Pac Man Championship Edition DX. I feel like recommending something could misrepresent what this thread is about (i.e. not the pick of recent releases - but the pick of xmassy games). But PMCEDX is glorious. Bathing in it's neon flicker as a red red robbin goes bob bob bobbing along is a holiday in itself.

4) A Zelda - preferably Wind Waker
Just. Look. At. It.

XMAS ADVENTURE!

More as I think of them.

Mario & Sonic winter Olympics is good fun. Plus you can set it to reflect your local weather, which is fun in winter times :oD

Oooh nice, we did really rather enjoy the first....

You've reminded me, Animal Crossing is perfect for Xmas playing! :o

I'm not excluding violent games from this list, but they got to hold the xmas spirit in them somehow. Whether by being perfect for playing over the hols or some element of their nature.

You know, like how Die Hard is the best Xmas movie.

I think I'll probably take Trivial Pursuit round to my parents house and get a game of that after dinner :)

Singstar when we go through to Jen's, that's always Christmassy for me!
