Okay so film X has the highest gross evarrr but what I really want to know is how many tickets is that? After all, ticket prices are always going up.

Wouldn't you agree?

Not really. When I was putting together the quiz for the cottage I couldn't find any reliable figures for those.

Team Awesome would like to have the result of the quiz reconsidered.

MrsA says that the question in the quiz was prefixed with "According to IMDB". Or something close to that. If that is her real name.

MrsA is correct. I did prefix with "According to IMDB" and said "Not adjusted for inflation".

The more complicated question is something about levels of disposable income, competition for said disposable income, number and accessibility of cinemas, etc. But balls to that, the top 10 would probably still be 8 shitty piles of turd anyway.

I wouldn't know. I rarely go to the pictures because they're full of eejits with ringing mobile phones, noisy bags of sweets, kids that constantly want to go for a piss, etc. etc.

I guess the film companies are only really interested in how much profit they make, regardless of how many tickets are sold.
