Are there any free alternatives to the big guns? I just need to take a DV file and burn to a DVD, no editing or menus required.

I am a technology luddite, but would 'convertXto DVD' do what you require? I'm sure there's a free version. It's dead simple (has to be with me) - just drag and drop.
