With Fallout New Vegas and Vanquish arriving last Friday, Fable 3 and The Force Unleashed 2 coming this Friday, I think it's officially TOO MANY GAMES MONTH.

What games will you be getting on day one, sticking on your Christmas list, waiting for cheapy cheap or avoiding altogether?

For me:

Day one (all dependent on whether or not shoddy review scores put me off):
Fallout New Vegas
Fable 3
NFS Hot Pursuit
CODBLOPS

Christmas List:
New Bond Game

Cheapy Cheap:
Vanquish

Avoiding:
Force Unleashed 2 - terrible reviews, first game was gash.

I'm sure there are more "big" releases I'm forgetting. Will update the list as appropriate. Try it yourself!

I already have New Vegas, and RB3 comes on Friday. Beyond that I have no day-one plans but doubtless my mind will change. I was wobbling about Fable 3 earlier.

Already have New Vegas and DR2. Will probably add Fable 3 to that.

No game coming up that really makes me feel the urge to get it before a price drop.

Some which I think would belong more in a toaster than anything else (See: CoDBLOPS)

I bought Vanquish on day of release but only cos it is awesome and I got it cheap.

I don't feel the need to buy games on day of release any more as they come down in price so quickly.

I've been playing enslaved over the last 2 days and it's very good. It will plummet in price though since it isn't popular and is single-player only.

If [usual friend] comes through I'll probably get CODBLOPS at/near launch, not too fussed about it though.

I'll be getting Deid Rising Poo, New Vegas & Fable 3 when they're cheap :)

Cod blops! That one is on pre-order as....of.....now! I almost done forget about that one!

I has gotted DR2 (that was last month though, meh) and FO:NV. (I also just bought GH:Warriors of Rock, which is super awesome) so I'm a bit snowed under with games at the moment and I don't really like playing them before the children go to bed so that cuts my game time *right* down, well I do like playing them but I feel guilty about it.

Eldest boy has FU:2 on his Christmas list, he's only 11 though so what does he know. And I would give anything for a few hours peace over the 2 week Christmas hoildays.

Oh, Halo:Reach is on it's way along with the new 360, which has been on order for almost a fucking week and got dispatched 5 days ago. Fucktards.

Fallout NV is on my Christmas list as that's my traditional time of year to be able to play games a LOT.

I'd quite like Vanquish and Enslaved, but won't be buying either for a while.

HC wants Fable 3 but that's going on the Christmas list as well.

Might, just might pick up GT5 if it gets a release this year and it depends on its structure. Licences can fuck off.

Am I right in thinking that this year there aren't the usual 20 good games being released in the next three weeks like there have been for the past 3-4 years? Only asking as I've been ignoring the release schedules with amazing consistency this year.

Oh I might, if I'm not in the poor house come December treat the family to Rock Band.

I'll be getting nothing brand new, but I'll wait for cheapness on Dead Rising 2, and Rock Band 3. Maybe I'll try the pro guitar, but not until way after christmas if so. I'll be asking for MS Points for christmas, so I'll spend that mostly on Rock Band DLC, and possibly a live title or two if people rave about it on here.

Until then I will be keeping myself occupied with Guitar Hero Smash Hits, LEGO Harry Potter, LEGO Indiana Jones 2 and Final Fantasy XIII.

I'm asking for Fable 3 for my Christmas and so is Jen so as we can coop it.

I'm getting CoD on release day obviously. I want New Vegas but I don't mind waiting since it's singleplayer. Will struggle not to get Assassins Creed :S

Fable 3 on Friday. I'll be leaving Rock Band 3 until the stringed guitar is released, which I believe is early November. I don't think I can be arsed dealing with a strum bar and five notes again.

Rock Band 3 is the only thing coming out over the next few months that I have any interest in. I've pre-ordered it with Shopto so hopefully I'll get it on release day or the day before as I'm off all week as it is.

Have to say I'm not too bothered about any of these releases other than New Vegas. I'll doubtless trudge though CODBLOPS at some point and perhaps plod through Fable 3 but overall, meh.

If you preorder RB3 at HMV you get 3 extra songs free (Burning Down the House, Blue Monday and My Own Summer), and during the first week of release you can download 3 Doors songs -- Light My Fire, Riders on the Storm and Touch Me -- for free. That's 960M$ of free shit right there!

Anyway I don't game much these days for various reasons (dicking about on the internet is too enticing for a start) but RB3 is a launch day purchase for me. I fucking love Rock Band.

I don't buy things on day of release generally and see no reason to start now. Fable 3 is tempting but still got fable 2 to start... Rock band 3 is a no-brainer purchase but there are tricky decisions about new instrument controllers to be made. Assassins creed brotherhood also comes out next month. Some or all of those will be Xmas list fodder and we'll see what happens.

Codblops can DIAGF obv ;)

I very very rarely buy anything but iPhone games at launch. But I picked up Vanquish based on the wonderousness of the demo and the joys of Bayonetta. And it was £25.

Everything else can wait. Not really bothered by Fallout NV or Fable III. AC can wait till I've finished two...

I have no plans to buy any games for the rest of the year, other than possibly CODBLOPS.

I have too many sat on the shelves. When I finally get round to doing more of FFXIII, Wet, Nier, Mass Effect, Bayonetta, Borderlands, Madden 2010, etc etc etc... then I can get more games.

In spite of the crushing disappointment of Fable 2, the being king and throwing people into debtor's prison thing in 3 sounds fun.

Also, New Vegas when they've fixed it. Not interested in CODBLOPS.

I consider myself immune to the NEXT BIG THING as I never buy games new. Also, I generally despise console FPSs and refuse to play realistic FPSs in general.

That said, I bummed Fable 2, so have asked for Fable 3 for Christmas and may even treat myself to Assassins Creed 3 Brotherhood.

RB3 kinda interests me, but I have so much GH stuff lying around that has only been used for a couple of hours, it seems a waste, as I know I wont use it much beyond the first week or so...

With the caveat that none of this cost me any actual money (£10 max) in the last month or so I have got..

Playstation Move
Start the Party (Great family/party game but very slight)
Eyepet Move Edition (Youngster loves this)
Sports Champions (It is indeed like Wii Sports - great at first but I have no real desire to return to it much)

Enslaved (Finished and traded - definitely worth a play if you're thinking about it)
Vanquish (not even started - lent to a mate)
Fallout New Vegas (time sink alert - 6 hours in - done nothing)
Halo Reach (finished on normal and leg)
Dead Rising 2 (about 2/3 through 1st playthrough)
Limbo (70% ish through)
Super Meat Boy (just did the first few levels)
Dark Void (£5 at ASDA - rude not to - not even started)

I also borrowed Medal of Honour off a mate and zipped through the SP (average)

I've also got Kinect coming on release and will maybe trade some stuff in to get Fable 3 / CODBLOPS / NFS

Somehow in the same period I managed to finish my writing project, hold down a shitty temp full time job (5:00am until 1:00pm), pick up some extra work for my self employed stuff and still be a family man.

Oh and lose my iPhone (but insurance payout = iPhone 4 on the way so there will be that to play on as well in the next couple of weeks).

I literally have no time any more for gaming. This makes me a sad panda.

That said, I do have Fallout New Vegas and that's the only game I've been playing when I've had time, but I'm still at the very, very beginning.

I bought Halo Reach in a moment of madness and that will be getting traded in very soon. I might also offload my second Wii that I only bought a few months ago, as my initial enthusiasm of "there's loads of stuff that's been released since I last owned one that I'll play" has vanished in a cloud of "it's still a bit shit really". That said, I did sink some decent time in to House Of The Dead Overkill, which was a good laugh despite the distractingly high level of profanity in it.

Anyway, until I've ploughed some serious time into FO:NV, I'll hold off buying anything else. I've also got the Mass Effect 2 DLC and Fallout 3 DLC to play. But on the list of games I wish to acquire soon are:

- Dead Rising 2
- Enslaved (loved Heavenly Sword, and I gather this is rather similar)
- Gran Turismo 5
- Playstation Move and a copy of Heavy Rain (and possibly another copy of RE5)

I might also go for the F1 game soon as despite never being able to get into previous F1 games, this one uses the game engine from the DIRT and Race Driver GRID games, and I liked those. I *may* go for COD:BLOPS if the single player is any good. The missus may also want us to get Little Big Planet 2.

When's that Space Marine game out on the 360?

Otherwise the only new games I'm getting in the near future are FO:NV and CODBLOPS for b'day and Christmas respectively.

I've been very content with my Fallout DLC (Hi5 Kissyfur) but I think I'll have a little break before FO:NV (so it's cheaper and patched). I think I'll get Vanquished or that new Castlevania game but maybe just ask Santa for those.

Still need to finish RB6-LV2 with Wullie actually.

...and RE5 with the Doc.

Ooh yeah, Castlevania! That's meant to be pretty good, no?

I'd also totally forgotten about Rock Band 3. I probably will go for that at some point as I love the Rock Band games, but all my placky instruments are at my parents at the moment. Fuck knows where I'll be able store them in the flat.

To be fair, I've nearly completed my first season, and the issues that I have are all pretty negligible:
- Pit stop issues (can normally be resolved by stopping out of sync)
- Difficult to tell when it has started raining if your engineer doesn't mention it
- Fuji is too fucking difficult (Because it is so much fun to drive and I repeatedly over do it).

I know there are other gripes, but I've not encountered them. Although on Singapore, during qualifying in the wet, the game clearly cheated when I beat the pole time by 3 clear seconds with a freakishly perfect lap so suddenly everyone else managed to get close to it.

In a way I'm glad my gaming compulsion has taken a slump lately. It means I can pick up the quality stuff for cheaps further down the line after the hype has died down. But it means I'm missing out on things like Halo Reach which everyone seems to have straight away, but as I only get to play late on in the evenings not everyone is around then anyway. :'(

Hopefully there will be more Bezzieness through these Winter months.
