A while ago, whilst looking on the net, I stumbled across Mega Man 8 Bit Death Match
http://cutstuff.net/blog/ which was being made by a guy named CutManMike.
The game is a Doom clone but with Mega Man characters and it seemed quite fun, so I bookmarked the site. Meanwhile I saw it a few times on sites such as Topless Robot and Kotaku and it seemed interest was building for it.
A few months passed and I kept up with progress on the site and the game waiting for it to be released... Then, one day at work.. I got talking to a colleague who I knew liked games. We got chatting about Xbox and stuff and then someone else butted in that this guy was making a game.
Turns out I've been working with CutManMike for 3 years and never realised! Wow.. isn't it a small world?
Anyway, that's a funny story I thought I'd share. The game has actually been released now so if anyone is interested, I'd recommend downloading it and having a go. Not only has he been working on it for a year (I suspect in work as his screen always looks a little suspect when I walk past) but he's a nice guy too.
