Love how the youtube comments are just full of people going that Capcom have f***ed this up because the character looks different :-)

I guess it was a bit optimistic of me to wait for some gameplay footage in that clip. Like MvC3, Capcom can do a mean trailer though.

I paid a fiver for DMC4.

It was a rip-off.

Are any of them worth grabbing for much cheapness?

DMC4 is worth a go. It's around £5 everywhere.

Yeah I won't be getting this no matter what the reviews say. DMC4 was fucking awful. I didn't really ever get on with the first three, either. I like Bayonetta, but I'm pretty sure it's quite different (I don't really understand the "subtleties" of these games). PASS.

Listening to Zardoz on these games you'd go away believing that Devil May Cry or Bayonetta were the gaming equivalent of a delicious egg mayonnaise sandwich. And you'll be sitting there thinking about how much you'd like a delicious egg mayonnaise sandwich and would promptly visit your local gaming emporium to buy one. Upon returning home you'd rip open the wrapper and tuck in, only to find that it was a dog egg mayonnaise sandwich. And instead of bread they'd used your mum's labia.

Zardoz does seem to be very much in the minority of people here whoo don't think DMC4 was a steaming pile of dog shit.

I liked DMC4. The combo system of DMC1-3 was intact and bloody good too - it even allowed you to juggle Dantes styles all at once. I even managed to figure out Royal Guard which made no sense in DMC3. Sure there was some lazy trekking backwards and forth over the same ground with a different character but DMC's excitement has always come from how long you can kick the shit out of hordes of folks in one continuous combo. They could have reintroduced Dante in a more interesting way, but the pleasure came from just getting to grips with his many styles and it helped a little by retreading some old ground. But then got old. But still, DMC has always been for the hardcore and has been getting progressively more so inspite of suggestions that 4 was a bit easier (just look at the insane combos for each weapon and styles and the new arm flinging thingy - all of which you're invited to remember all the time).

Well, it was £5's worth of stuff from Play, which was an awesome Superman mug in the end.

It was the SPECIAL EDITION of it, if that means anything.

Huh. I have no recall of this at all.
I did wonder why I had your address in my Play address book, though.

I really enjoyed the first Devil May Cry, but that enjoyment had fallen away quite badly by number 3.

I think I played the demo of DMC4 for two minutes and never bothered with it again.

DMC4 is one of the most numbing gaming experiences besides jRPG's i ever had. It's a shame, because the game is slick and smooth.

I've only played the fourth one. It was okay, but tediously cutscene-heavy, and became increasingly annoying and boring the longer I played it. I stopped after a couple of hours.

I'd imagine that if I'd played it for much longer, I would have come to hate it rather deeply.
