I would like to buy some proper lovely Bluetooth noise cancelling over ear headphones.

In ear buds don't really work with my dumbo wings, so I have to look like a dork with my kicking cans man.

I have:
sennheiser travel foldy px200 something or other, work pretty well, but no noise cancelling and not Bluetooth.
Some in ear philips buds with noise cancelling, in ear buds don't fit in my ears and the noise cancelling seems to do fuck all.
Some cheap over ear Bluetooth headphones (jtk?) which work, but are uncomfortable for more than an hour.

I tried various headphones in a big ass dixons t'other day, and the Bose over ear were supremely comfortable, but not Bluetooth.

Anybody have any recommendations? Price is not a concern, but anything over £200 would have to be incredible.

If it helps, there was a round-up of stuff on the register a few days ago.

When you say in-ear, do you mean earbuds, or canalphones, or both? I hate earbuds but love canalphones. In particular you may find Comply tips useful.

Also, are there any bluetooth noise-cancellers that don't have a trailing wire to a battery block for the noise cancelling? And is that acceptable?

Ta. Misses the ones I'm looking at though! The sennheiser px310 :)

Both, my earholes seem to be the wrong size and I'm forever putting the buds or canal phones back in my ears after they fall out every five minutes, regardless of the size of the rubber bits you can stick on.

Not sure about the battery block? I know buds have to have a block for obvious reasons, but the px310 sennheisers seem to be self contained? Wish I knew a shop that had them on display that I could play with! It's a huge amount of money to spend blind, especially as it seems I'm very particular about my headphones :)

You're right about the block, aye - not only those Sennheisers but a few of the ones in the Reg article too.

I think I'd have pause for thought about dropping that sort of money on something where the quality was actually below that of a wired connection! But I have bitrate OCD.

You can run the px310s wired or wireless, I believe.

I mainly watch tv shows and listen to podcasts, so absolute quality isn't an issue, it's really the convenience of going wireless which is the thing for me. I chuck the iPad in my rucksack and listen to podcasts on the tube usually, wired makes that impossible.

Aye, I saw that. Neat. Means you can use them on planes too.

Yeah, I have a low end pair of Nokia bluetooth over-ears I use when dog walking (no trailing cable for them to get caught up in!). They are a bit harsh for music but fine for podcasts, which is mostly what I'm listening to.
