Stoner was a bit piqued wasn't he?

If it is on the iPlayer, watch it.

It was an awesome race, and the commentary, as always, was excellent.

This we knew, almost certainly though Aspar will run the bikes, Kawasaki will have to pay a very large amount to Dorna if they don't run so it'd be easier to hand them and the riders to Aspar and say "Good luck guys".

Silverstone will be hosting the British GP
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/motorbikes/7825163.stm
I can't even remember if I saw any superbikes or similar racing at Silverstone so I wonder how it will compare to Donington in terms of racing/excitement potential.

It'll work, certainly as well as Donnington did, so long as they resist that godawful chicane at woodcote. (Literally AT woodcote, they turn inside, almost into the pits then chicane out, you can still see it if you've been there recently)

What do you mean back?

It was on the Beeb last year, now it's exclusively live on the beeb and sadly the immeasurably superior Eurosport coverage is delayed.

It's back (has returned)

It has returned and will be on bbc.

eg. I'm back! I'm back on my bike, having gone on holiday for a bit on my bike, i have returned, on it.

And most people can get bbc, and not eurosport, so I'm too worried over that.

Race was canceled yesterday due to massive rain (in Qatar, lol), and is being run today, 7pm on the red button.

They get 8 rain days in the entire year.

To clarify for newbies, the rain is not actually the problem, they can run in the rain normally. The problem here is that it's tipping it down and there's giant floodlights. It was cancelled because of glare, any other event and they could run.

The Singapore F1 race could potentially be a victim of the same issue.

I'm beginning to think it's tradition that a Ducati romps home at the start of every MotoGP season.

C/d?

Qatar suits their design philosophy and Stoner is (technical term) REALLY FUCKING GOOD.

So yeah, not a surprise. Motegi and (especially) Jerez is much less suited to them, we'll see.

Just clicked the 'World Superbikes' link from that BBC link and got a blank Apache page declaring 'It works!'.

Speaking of MotoGP, which I'm catching up on now, every time one of the commentators says "Whore-Gay Lorenzo" I die a little inside.

Isn't it something to do with the new limit on the number of engines per team? And a 1000cc engine is less likely to knacker under the sort of strains experienced than an 800?

Fuck knows.

Moto2 or whatever is 600s I think and given that the history of years passing and cc's dropping along with laptimes, maybe they are a bit worried about the 600s almost doing the 800s over the laps.

Either way, I'll copy and paste more when I read it on uk.rec.motorcycles and use it as my own knowledge. How's that working out for you? :) <3

For what it's worth, I've still a hankering for an RS 250, though. Despite it going to be more trouble than MrsA.

Rossi isn't keen (and I know I shouldn't read MCN).

I prefer WSBK anyway, it seems to be the GT/Touring Cars/V8 Supercars to MotoGP's F1.

Out of interest, do you read his quotes in his accent, with the pauses as well, or is it just me?

I've never thought of the Superbikes as the Vauxhall Astras of the bike world before, but you're right!

Just been reading this story on Shoya Tomizawa, who died in a Moto2 race, aged 19.

Which then led me to this one about Peter Lenz who died on a 250cc, aged 13. Blimey.
