Given the Monkey Island HD redo and sitch.

Beneath a Steel Sky - A no brainer. Still looks gorgeous today.
Ruff and Tumble - Beeyowtphul platform blam blam.
Soccer Kid - I thought it was a nice gimmick with the ball and stuff.
Flashback - Tempted to say Another World, but this has more of a game in it.
Assassin - Stop making Worms and remake this Strider clone.

Go!

Gravity Power, arguably the greatest two player game of all time. Thrust in style, destructible scenery, special weapons, killer bunny rabbit that just sits there, "BINGO!" "TOUCHDOWN!" and precisely the right feel for everything. Desert levels, snow levels, lego levels...

It was glorious. I miss it deeply. All hail dual top (Swedish?) blokes Prince Jan and Princess Jens for delivering it to us.

Actually, yeah. Cannon Fodder would make quite a fantastic twin stick shooter.

Morph - Puzzle platformy thing where you had to transform between a metal ball, rubber ball, water and gas cloud.

Quite surprised we haven't seen Beneath a Steel Sky, actually. It's out on the iPhone along with Broken Sword. Seems like a no-brainer to port them to XBLA, especially considering they've already got a "HD" version of Broken Sword for the iPad and presumably they'll be doing a BASS one.

Ruff ("And" - Ed) Tumble was terrific fun. Feasromely hard towards the end, though, with swinging platforms over seas of spikes and annoying hover-owls attacking from angles you couldn't directly shoot at.

All but one of the bosses had a massive exploit that rendered them all but harmless, though. I'm not sure if that was good or not, but I do remember getting into a position with the final boss where I could simply stand still and hold the fire button down until he died. Not that I was complaining, because it took me fucking forever to get there.

I would love to see Flashback remade for the title music alone. Proper dramatic stuff, that. Never mind the strong level design and terrific animation.

Walker - It would work perfectly with the twin sticks! One to walk, one to aim and the shoulder button to fire.

I'd like to see Midwinter re-done. It seemed a little too ambitious for my poor old Amiga. Oh, and Moonstone too.

Personally I think that the 3D games would come out the worst in a remake. Most were just bordering on tech demos. Stuntcar Racer really didn't have much of a game to it as such.

My fave Amiga games don't really crossover well (Syndicate/King's Bounty) but I'd like Pinball Fantasies et al. Crazy Cars 3 also.

Also, Turrican 3.

Fight me.

If you want Another World just play Limbo. It's the exact same memory trial Dragon's Lair button pressing gameplay.

So you say it reminded you of Another World but reject that it's a memory test game? Hmm. Nope, can't see anything else in Another World other than that.

Anyway Cruise for a Corpse! That'd be brilliant. In fact, I'm going to WinUAE that right now to see how the graphical style holds up today.

Y'know, mentions of Amiga software like CfaC really knocks it into me how varied games during that era in terms of settings, concepts, ideas. Everything seems a bit too homogenous these days.

Although...

That's when the creativity of Amiga developers started to decay, when it began to seem that every other Amiga game was all pale imitations of the big games on the consoles and PC (I mean, really, who'd really play Zool if they have access to a Mega Drive?.)

I liked Oscar on the CD32. Very generic collect-em-up but thought it was good fun and looked stunning,

The Amiga jumped the shark when everyone started producing Doom clones. Every last one of them looked fucking pathetic. Whereas I could admire something like Hard Drivin on the Spectrum because it was an achievement, seeing FPS games on the Amiga was like watching your 90 year old granny trying to dance at a wedding.
