We're rapidly approaching the wind up to the new NFL season, I was thinking of setting up a BeeX fantasy league on NFL.com. Anyone fancy it?

Live Draft? (everyone picks their players in order using a web widget on the site... can last ages though.)

Autopick? (everyone orders a list of players in order of who they want, when your draft pick comes up it checks through your list and picks the best available one... reasonably simple, the list is generally pre-ordered into some reasonable shape, so good for people who know little but still want to take part)

Offline draft? (we do it here, and some poor schmuck inputs it all into the NFL website)

Live draft!

Well, now we have three of us. 118118 might be interested too. Possibly.

Is there an app for the NFL.com fantasy? Would make life a hell of a lot easier for me as I have no internet at home, and I presume a live draft widget would probably crash/not work well on my phone.

I will show a tentative interest as I love me a bit of NFL. However, usually with these fantasy things I'll just pick players with silly names, show a misguided loyalty to my favourite team and lose interest within two weeks.

you each draft x amount of players each week you'll select a team, they get point for touchdowns, yards, tackles etc... most points at the end if the season wins

Incorrect.

You actually 'play' another fantasy team each week. If you get more points than them, you win. The people with the most wins go into the playoffs, where its a straight knock out.

Oh, and where this differs from Soccer Fantasy Football, each player only exists once in each league. If you have Peyton Manning, I can't have Peyton Manning. If I want Peyton Manning, I can offer some of my players for him, in a trade.

But the gist was basically the same. Depending on how many people decide to play well have a longer/shorter post-season. And I doubt all the players will be drafted, just a certain amount for each player so if say the saints kicker gets injured and his replacement hasn't been drafted it's a free-for-all for who drafts him.... or something like that.

So is it worth someone setting up a league then? And then seeing numbers before the draft.. and stuff...

Created a league... called BeExcellent
Url beex.league.fantasy.nfl.com
Password kurtwarner
League id: 46089
Left it as offline draft for now, but it can be changed.
