Just spent 5 minutes typing another hilarious Chinny post (well actually it was a tale of blatant teacher racism in the teacher thread) only for me to press "send" and the forum to go down. Post lost.

This isn't the first time this has happened lately. However this time as I lost a post I thought I'd say something.

If it's a question of bunging someone a few quid for a stick of RAM/bandwidth/badger pron for Craster, just say the word.

It's not criticism, I just wanna know if we (the forum plebs) can help out.

It didn't. Dunno why but it didn't. I've had this happen (the other forum - Ed) in the past where the back button also just generated an error.

Apart from that its a segmentation fault , code 11 on process id 11483 which i assume is your apache daemon ?

Nothing else hangs on Apache, but it's more than just that - the server is three years old now and depreciated by the hosting company. For the same monies I can get double the numbers if I rent a new box.

Okay, I'm getting a new server.
The switch will probably come next month (unless it coincides with the house move, so maybe September).

There will be some downtime, but hopefully not too much - an hour or so.
