Hang on, isn't mkv the container for DivX HD files? If something says it supports DivX HD files, does that mean it'll play mkv files without any faffing?
Depends on the codec inside
AVI, MKV etc... are all just containers for encoded video and audio. MKVs usually contain H.264 encoded video files, but I have no idea if that is synonymous with DivX HD
Super is great, but it assumes you know exactly how to setup what you want to get out at the end, and is just a poor gui front end to FFMPEG as far as I recall, but better than using the command line.
Personally I do all my encoding using Handbrake these days, not sure if it does DivX HD though...
So basically, it seems I'm not sure about anything.
Hope that helps
