Existing on the periphery of the consciousness this year, kinda like the film Shutter Island, is the tournament. The one we all look forward to.

Federer managed to slip through, avoiding an upset and is my top tip to win this year. Which will also help Oxfam out a lot.

At least it'll be something to watch seeing as our World cup ends at 5pm this afternoon.

Interesting Timmy H facts:

He's won 11 singles titles, came runner up in 17, won 4 doubles titles, was runner up twice in them and was ranked #4 in the world, winning over $10,000,000 in prize money.

Currently, I think that this is amazing, that they started the game yesterday, played all day today, and have to continue it tomorrow.

I have new heroes.

Me and the girlfriend left the house to go to the cinema at 6:30 with me joking that she won't miss anything as it will still be going by the time we come back.

I was only joking guys!

Nah.

I'd be firmly in favour of Mens matches being 3 sets like womens matches.

After staying in a hotel that the WTA were in, I'd watch them play forever.

They are, mainly. It's just the Grand Slams that play 5 sets. Next you'll be telling me you prefer T20 to Test cricket. ;)

Currently 68-67: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2010/ju ... mahut-live

I want to see if the scoreboard can cope with 100 games.

If Mahut doesn't win the French equivalent of Sports Personality of the Year, something is hideously wrong.

Nah, Test only.

It just seems like so much time is wasted.

I know the telly people like to call them 'grand slams', but pretty sure they're just majors. The grand slam is winning the whole lot.

Well, yes. Need to polish that crystal ball of yours, there.

So, Murray to face Nadal in the semi finals. Nadal looked like he was having leg problems when I saw him play, or something. Hmm. COuld he actually do it?

I had a fiver on Berdych, which worked out quite nicely.

Murray vs Nadal should be a corker.

Djoko is my tip to win it.
