At 11.35am today, I became a proud 1st-time father of a beautiful little baby girl :) As the whole thing kicked off about 1am this morning, I haven't had any sleep, so am pretty knacked, but feel the need to jump up & down & make a fuss about it.

Big yay to the missus, who managed to build a fully working miniature human, mostly out of apples, milk, custard slices, and packs of tangfastics!

Well done on doing all the hard work. Now kick back and have a cigar/drinks in the knowledge of a job well done.

Mrs Dom obviously contributed a bit, but... y'know.

Ty for all the nice words :) Still in shock here, the girls are having to spend the night in hospital, leaving me and the cat to party the night away*!

Excellent work.

Got a name for her yet?

I suggest, "Richard Gaywood"

Nothing can prepare you properly for that moment when you change from expectant father to father.

Congratulations and enjoy - baby head smell is aces.

Congrats. Becoming a Dad is a bit of a head spinning moment, regardless of how well you think you're prepared nothing really does help you cope with the fact that you've suddenly become the least important thing in your life. Many magical moments ahead mixed with many sleepless nights - it zips by though, trust me, so relish every moment, even the 4am can't sleep ones.

Silly request...

Does anyone have any newspapers from June 1st still around in a vaguely decent shape, preferably something 'sensible' & mature (not a tabloid if possible)
We were a little busy on the day itself to think of this, but I really wish I had got one for her!

PM me if you can help, I will happily pay any postage & whatnot :)

Places like http://www.backissuenewspapers.co.uk/ will do it for you - costs a fair chunk, but you're certain to get it in decent state and with all the extra sections and stuff. I'm afraid all our papers went in the recycling on Wednesday.
