Right, it's Lee's wedding Saturday and he wants a bunch of music, so I'm making cds up for the reception cd player and having my player as a backup in case they don't work. He's got some stuff I can't find elsewhere, it's on his ipod which is a modern one about the height and width of two clipper lighters and very thin/light with a convex face and back. Fairly nice bit of kit for a player but as per Apple I've connected it via the annoyingly bespoke usb cable and while the device is mountable (Vista) I can't find the bloody songs on there. I'm going to try looking now with my various media players but is there one package in particular that's good for getting Lee's songs off his player?
This is some DRM shit or other, I'm pretty sure. As such there will be a straightforward solution to my problem, because that's the function of DRM - to make doing something straightforward just slow enough to be annoying.
/edit it seems to be a modern ipod nano but not the camera one. The screen is very large.

Yes, it is.
Edit: Although I gather that there are bits of software that will do it automatically for you.

There's also iDump but I don't see why sharepod shouldn't do the job for you.

Or you can ask here. We've got quite a lot of music between us.
