My "elderly" (Hah! The first film camera I ever owned was considered elderly in 1987 when I bought it second-hand and that still works to this day!) Canon A85 Powershot has given up the ghost - it switches on but no pictures can it take, I suspect the image sensor is broken. It's waaaaaaaaaaay out of warranty, and probably cheaper to buy a new and better camera than get it repaired. However, if anyone present is into electronics, tinkering with things or otherwise wants a broken camera, it's yours for free (including postage). Simply PM me with an address to post it to.

Last year my kids broke my DS Chunky (first one of the hinges snapped and then the touch screen stopped working), Yesterday it started working again all on it's own (the touch screen, the hinge didn't magically fix itself!)

Next on my list to send to the tip unless somebody wants them

Retro Gamer issues:

31, 34, 35, 36, 37, 42, 43, 49, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 57, 58, 59, 60 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67

Also:

GamesTM's Top 100 Video Games

&

Retro Bookazine Vol 2

These are all "free", except for P&P - I reckon £2.50 each for the Retro Gamer's and £3 for the "bookazines". If somebody wants the lot (or multiples) we'll come to an arrangement on the postage. PM me if interested.

Also:

The SitePoint Web Design Business Kit Vols 1 & 2 (I think it came with a CD, but Christ knows where that has gone). I reckon £10 P&P.

Also:
The Spectrum Book by Andrew Rollings - Unread and still bubble-wrapped. £3 P&P.

I put all my retro gamers on ebay last year and made a tidy profit, but now you can't charge postage I suspect that's a dead end.

Yeah, I considered eBay, but couldn't be arsed with the hassle. I'd rather just give them away (with a bit of help with postage) than be bothered with the associated eBay and PayPal fees.

I think I'm an anti-collector at heart - I buy stuff, then get paranoid at the clutter and have to get shot of!
