These are excellent.

It makes me laugh, though: companies spend so much on getting the graphics right, making the light hit the character in the right way, then whack in some cheap sound recordings that don't even remotely sound like they're coming from the character.

It's way too PS2 era console-centric. For a start, it doesn't mention Deus Ex, (or maybe it does and I forgot -- I didn't watch the video just now). SHAME ON IT.

I can't see the video from here, but I'm hoping Deep Fear on the Saturn has made it in there. One of the characters (I'm sure he was meant to be an engineer or something fairly 'manly') quite massively outcamps Graham Norton in terms of his voice.

Ive got Vampire Night, and whilst an excellent shooter, I can attest it has the worst voice acting ever.

All the voices were done by the programmers, artists etc. This alone qualifies it as being terrible. The performacnes kind of speak for themselves.

Having said that, I don't think the deus ex voices were uniformly bad. Some were perfectly fine, I thought. Walton Simons's'ses was gentle and nicely sinister, for one thing. And Paul Denton's was really rather good, I thought.

The voice acting is very, very bad though. I havn't bothered to get past "level 3" or whatever the equivilent is in ArmaII, so I've yet to be hit by the worst, I fear.
edit: My ArmaII doesn't overrun the words like his does. Maybe he upped a setting or something?
