This is the first spam that I actually found interesting.

Although at my age I suppose I should be more interested in Viagra than Star Wars :D

This one isn't even a model, it is a CGI type picture. How can I buy it IRL? I would pay a lot of money if you could make it look like that .................................................Ha Ha Ha.

Ah and that's where he got the picture from.

Edit: Not sure that is actually the official shop.

That Shadow Arc fighter (and to a lesser extent, the 'turbo tank' which is clearly an AT-AT with fused neck vertebrae on wheels) does look pretty cool. Why hasn't there been a Clone Wars-based sequel to X-Wing? It's a shame Star Wars: Battlefront III got canned.

What's to understand? It's to do with childhood and that, innit. Most people who are big ol' Star Wars nerds are grown men who first watched it when they were young children, at a time when they still had a sense of wonder and could be swept away by something, and Mr Jowly Face's first two films were something very different at the time. We've all got older, got responsibilities, and less time to think, and, moreover, we, and society, and Mr Jowly Face for that matter, have become horribly cynical and so the Star Wars nerds cling to that (now decades old) sense of wonder with both hands as the last vestige of having a belief that the world could be about more than money and greed and banks and Robert Fucking Peston.

So I believe.

The fights in the old Star Wars are laughably shit. Compare the Obi-wan / Vader fight in the two films:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjCyZ2P9bCA

The second one isn't just bad, it's embarrassing.

I can't access those at work - which are they?

I thought the fighties in SW4-6 were pretty good, actually. Alright, some of the special effects in Obi vs Vader in Ep4 were a bit ropey, but it was two old blokes hitting each other with sticks. What did you expect? Somersaults?

I'm confused by the mixed message. The second one being from episode 3.

I know what you mean though. But by the time they fight on the Death Star, Obi Wan is an old man, out of practice and DV is 60% robot.
